The Grant Historical House is a restored cracker home that was moved to the Indian River in 1916. This scenic 7.48-acre community river park, located off U.S. Hwy 1 adjacent to the Indian River Lagoon, is a perfect wayside park for travelers and a convenient site for community events. The shaded pavilion and grill with restrooms nearby, the 2,000’ walking path, and the 630’ riverfront boardwalk invite picnics and leisurely strolls. While a 200’ fishing dock accommodates fishing, and although boat launching is not allowed, boaters may tie up to the dock to access the restrooms and picnic area. The Grant Historical House is open 10am-4pm, Tuesday through Friday; the park is open from sunrise to sunset.

On the original training site of the first U.S. Navy Frogmen is a showcase that honors Naval Combat Demolition Units (NCDUs), Scouts and Raiders, Underwater Demolition Teams (UDTs), and Sea, Air, Land Teams (SEALs). Many outdoor displays from a Vietnam era Huey helicopter to SEAL Delivery Vehicles (SDVs) and even Apollo training space capsules are available for visitors for an up-close view. Inside the unique museum is a theater that runs films of the very tough SEAL training and other frogman operations. History and world geography comes alive in the context of the wars and conflicts in which America's most extraordinary fighting men were involved. Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for children 6 - 12, free under 6. Open 10 to 4 Tuesday - Saturday, 12 - 4 Sunday. The Navy SEAL Museum is next to Pepper Park which has a lovely ocean beach. Bring the family and spend the whole day!

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, McKee Botanical Garden is an 18-acre subtropical garden. Its unique hammock supports a dense and diverse botanical collection as well as several restored architectural treasures. The Gardens are located at Closed Mondays. Tues-Sat 10am-5pm; Sun 12pm-5pm. Admission: $6 adults; Seniors (65+) $5; Children (5-12) $3.50. Under 5 free. Members: free.

Two Championship Golf Courses:

The Dunes: The Dunes course plays up to 6,900 yards and features rolling hills and the areas only island green par 3. Opened in April 1987, the course winds around an old ridge that runs up the East Coast of Florida that was once used for mining operations.

The Lakes: At 6,200 yards the Lakes course features one of the toughest holes in all of South Florida, the par 4, 14th with an island green. Built on the old Florida sand ridge, the course meanders through the unparalleled beauty of natural hazards and habitats. The Lakes Course opened in December 1992.

Both 18 hole championship layouts were Designed by Ron Garl, who was awarded ‘Golf Designer of the Year’ by the International Network of Golf. Sandridge Golf Club is recognized as one of the finest golf facilities open to the public in the state of Florida. It has been Rated Four-and-a-Half Stars by Golf Digest for the fourth year in a row on their annual "Places to Play" listing. The Dunes and The Lakes Courses both offer Championship golf to all levels of play.

Sandridge Golf Club offers Expert Instruction by PGA Professionals year round. Both private and group instruction is available as well as an award winning junior program. Bob Komarinetz, Director of Golf, and Bela Nagy, Head Golf Professional, have been recognized by their peers with awards for their leadership in junior golf.
